Easy Fondant Flowers

How do you create simple fondant flowers for Mother’s day or birthday cupcakes?

Mother's Day is a special occasion dedicated to honoring the incredible women who have nurtured and shaped our lives. So with it soon being time to express our gratitude and appreciation for everything they do let me teach you some cute simple fondant flower that you can use for your customers or loved ones.

How To Make Little Fondant Flowers

You will only need:

  • A selection of basic colours using supermarket fondant

  • A sculpting tool & a tool with a point

  • Water and brush

How To Make Basic Fondant Flowers:

  1. Ensure your fondant is warm so as to remove cracks creating smooth fondant.

  2. Roll 6 balls of fondant the same size.

  3. Roll each ball into a cone, then attach 3 cones together and then 3 more together.

  4. Glue together with water point in the centre.

  5. Flatten slightly.

  6. Using your sculpting tool make a score in the middle of each cone from the centre out.

  7. Roll a small ball of fondant for the centre, attach with water.

  8. Or you can create 4 smaller fondant balls to represent pollen.

9. Your can also make a circle of fondant and make a whole in the centre.

10. Or for a daisy you might like to add texture to the centre ball with a little pointy tool making lots of dents,

Use Them To:

  • These look so pretty in. variety of colours and you could also play around with adding fondant leaves.

  • Use these simple flowers on cookies, cakes and cupcakes.

  • Pipe a swirl of buttercream and place on the top on the top of a pretty a fondant framed topper. You can learn to make a variety of pretty edges wit the online Frames class.
